Fruit Pits

Everyone has driven down the road eating a fruit of some kind and at least half of us has thrown the pits out the window. So why haven't we seen fruit trees sprouting up all along our roadways?Imagine fruit trees lining our roadways with fresh fruit to pick at our leisure. So why isn't this happening, baffles me,does anyone have answer? Lets say that 90% of the pits are rendered dead after they sprout because of roadway mowers or whatever. What happened to the other 10%?

People from all over Europe,Middle east, China, etc found themselves going to the Coliseum in Rome to view the specticle it had to offer and they brought with them foods, fruits,vegetables,etc. Those people left behind in the colosseum all sorts of pits,seeds ,garbage,etc and they all sprouted and left the most varied assortment of plants found nowhere in the world and then about 15 years ago some restoration committee cleaned up the Coliseum and destroyed all the wonderful plants, just wonderful. What a bunch of idiots.
